The BioTek PowerWave HT Absorbance Microplate Reader is rugged and reliable, designed to operate 24 hours a day 7 days a week. This tuneable wavelength, 8 channel UV/Vis Microplate Spectrophotometer manufactured from the leader in plate reader technology.  The PowerWave HT Absorbance Microplate Reader uses a monochromator based platform for spectral scanning, that works conveniently off of a filter wheel allowing the end user to operate the microplate reader without the tedious task of changing out filters.  This allows users to perform endpoint and kinetic analysis, getting users maximum absorbance for any sample. The BioTek PoweWave HT  sleek design takes up minimal lab space while providing reliable and accurate data with wavelength measurements in  200 nm to 999 nm in 1 nm increments, with an accuracy of +/- 2 nm and readability of +/- 0.2 nm.  This Microplate reader has three reading speeds, can be used as either a standalone assay system or as part of a larger lab network.  


The robust BioTek PowerWave HTAbsorbance Microplate Reader using Gen5 software for data acquisition and works with a wide range of assays including: ELISA, colorimetric assay, multiwavelengths, spectral scanning, enzyme kinetics, RNA quantitation, DNA quantitation, purity testing, and much more.  The BioTek PowerWave HT uses a xenon flash lamp for both UV and visible light absorbance methods, and handles both 96 and 384 well microplates with an extended dynamic range of up to 4.000 OD. It also comes equipped with variable microplate shaking technology, and 4 zone temperature control incubation of 4° over ambient to 50°C.  This Absorbance plate reader comes with communication and power cables, as well as a Gen5 computer workstation.  The PowerWave HT from Biotek can read 96 well microplates within five seconds making this plate reader a top choice among scientists.  Moreover, the PowerWave HT is compatible with the BioTek BioStack Robot making it automated capable.
