Microsoft Patents Glasses That Track Your Eating Habits
Microsoft was recently granted a patent “for a wearable system for imposing dietary self-control,” CB Insights reported. The proposed “augmented reality” glasses track the calorie content of the foods the wearer eats and makes food recommendations, and also shares restaurant reviews
These glasses will be capable of monitoring sight, sound, location, temperature, and motion through sensors on the glasses which will “help the glasses identify food in front of the wearer and analyze nutritional content.” These sensors will also assist during “the consumption event” (what the patent calls actually eating) by monitoring “sound and head movement to track how much the wearer actually eats.”
This product will also be customizable, able to take into account the wearers diet, calorie restrictions, allergies and personal preferences.
