spider feeds on small gecko
A unknown species of spider was filmed feeding on a live lizard. It seems to be similar to a huntsman spider. Huntsman spiders live in warm, tropical regions around the world. They are known to hunt and rummage for food. They are considered the largest spiders by diameter, and a certain kind can grow up to 10 to 12 inches in size, including leg span. In a cave in Laos in 2011, one of the biggest of these spiders was found and was about the size of a 12-inch dinner plate. These spiders prey on insects and other invertebrates, but sometimes feed on small geckos. In this video, the spider uses venom in order to attack the lizard.
