What is the maximum volume and viscosity of the samples you’ll be analyzing?

While volumes may vary from sample to sample, it’s important to take into consideration what your largest and thickest samples may be, in order to ensure you have a piece of equipment that can handle them. The type of stirrer or mixer you decide to purchase will also impact what aspects of the equipment you need to inspect prior to purchase.

Will your samples be temperature-sensitive?

Different samples require different temperatures when being mixed. Will you typically be processing samples that need to be heated during the mixing process? Consider purchasing a stirrer with a hot plate.

Have you purchased everything you’ll need to begin mixing?
