Two Out Of Three People Will Die From Tobacco
According to a four year study, More than 200,000 men and women, as many as two in every three cigarette, will die from this habit. Also, it is estimated that that smokers will die 10 years earlier than non-smokers. “We knew smoking was bad but we now have direct independent evidence that confirms the disturbing findings that have been emerging internationally,” Australian National University’s Emily Banks says in a news release.
Researchers had assumed that only half of smokers would die of an illness relating to smoking. Newer studies in the U.K. women, British doctors, and American Cancer Society volunteers have upgraded that number to about 67%. “We have been able to show exactly the same result in a very large population-wide sample,” Banks adds.
