GE NanoVue Plus Spectrophotometer

The GE NanoVue Plus is an all-in-one Spectrophotometer used to measure a wide range of chemicals one drop at a time.  Much like the popular Thermo NanoDrop, the NanoVue Plus has a 0.5µl to 5.0µl range, allowing you to cut costs on the sample and consumable waste.  This reliable spectrophotometer eliminates the need for cuvettes as samples are pipetted onto the sample plate.  The GE NanoVue Plus can accurately quantify protein and nucleic acid samples within seconds much like a NanoDrop from Thermo Scientific.  Once the measurement is finished the sample can easily be recovered with a pipette, or swiftly wiped away clean.  This Thermo Nanodrop like instrument comes with built-in methods used for UV readings, dye intercalation assays (Lowry, Bradford, Biuret, and BCA) along with nucleic acid and protein readings.

The GE NanoVue Plus allows you to program your own methods with the wavelength scan feature and built-in software that allows you to safely store your methods in a personal folder for easy access.  In addition, this NANO Spectrophotometer has the ability to hook up to a computer and run GE’s Datry spectrophotometer software, if you choose to operate it in this fashion.  However, these spectrophotometers are independently controlled by their own built-in, onboard software and come equipped with their own self-calibration mean.  The GE NanoVue Plus has a read time of fewer than five seconds and a wavelength scan of 200 to 1100nm.  The system uses a Xenon long-lasting stabilized lamp to ensure accurate, reliable, and reproducible results.  This easy-to-use UV/Vis Spectrophotometer has a spectral bandwidth of 5mn and uses twin CCD array cameras as a detection method.
