Instron 5544 Tensile Tester

The Instron 5544 is a single-column Tensile Tester for a material’s tensile strength and elasticity. This tensile testing machine has a speed range of 0.05-1000 mm/min (0.002-40 in/min) and a maximum load of 200 kgf (450lbf). Safety is key with a tensile tester, and the Instron 5544 meets this with a dual-action overtravel limit, ergonomically positioned electronic connectors, and fully protected lead screw heads.

The Instron 5544 Tensile Tester is a great addition to any quality control laboratory, research, and development as testing is simple and fully standardized. Specimens are mounted into the load frame, held by the appropriate load cell, then tension is applied to see the strength and degree of elongation.  Operations are run from the push-button control panel with programmable softkeys, a fine position thumb wheel for precise setups, and exponential rate jog buttons.

With the included Bluehill software, users of this Tensile Tester can view progress in real-time, auto-calibrate, and define every aspect of a run, with the ability to change on the fly. The software will prompt users throughout the test procedure for input for complete control.
